United 2-0 Stoke City

Two penalties down the Potters

Good game by the champion although the goals came from penalty spot. With many players in the injury list United still had the depth to face the season. Though the choices are limited Ferguson succeeded in fielding the right players.

Ferdinand was back on time to claim his place. However the shock was in the goalkeeper department. Lindegaard was injured and De Gea was supposed to play. Nerves is pumping up after the shaky performance against Liverpool where most people would agree that the Spaniard should not play. But then Ben Amos the third keeper who marched on the field. Luckily in the game Amos had little thing to do.

Berbatov also played. He and Hernadez scored from the penalty spot. This guy have his own aura that could spark United game. But his appearances were limited.

It was a good game. Tougher games ahead with Chelski, Liverpool and Tottenham are awaits. Should United wins these game the pressure to win the title will be reduced and the spirit will be higher.
