Chelski 3-3 United

United Scores Five In Six Goals Thriller

United went into the game knowing that a win is much needed after Manchester City defeated Fulham 3-0. Chelski meanwhile is having bad season and defeat against the defending champion would compound their bad season.

The game was much in balance for both side. Then Howard Webb got into the attention. He had awarded series of inconsistent calls in this game. First he brushed away two penalties claim from United. The first one when Young was tugged by Ivanovic  Second when Cahill brought down Welbeck.. Though it happen just outside the penalty box however it was a clear foul. The new Chelski defender should be sent off for that offense.

In 35 minutes Chelski. Poor defending especially from Evra who gave space to Sturridge to center the ball. De Gea tried to stop using his leg. But the ball hit Evan who could not do nothing as the ball bounced toward the empty net. The half time ended with Chelski lead 1-0.

Then came the second half. I was worried as United tend to concede goal in the time that I called vulnerable time. It is between 45 to 55 minutes of the play.  The game just restarted about 25 seconds when Chelski struck again. Torres was the provider. He patched a brilliant cross that perfected converted by his compatriot Juan Mata through a superb near post volley. 2-0. United tried to recover by was shock by the third goal in 50th minutes. That third goal came on a free kick, delivered by Mata and nodded in by David Luiz, who was poorly marked. United looked very much like a defeated team. Ferdinand should done better. It was almost a free header. David Luiz goal was deflected by Ferdinand. By this time United was dead and buried.

But then came Rooney. His persistent and determination could be the motivation for United. Ferguson also made a bold move. He took out Rafael for Scholes. As a result United looking more sharp. Then again Webb in the spotlight. He gave two penalties that could consider very soft. Both brilliantly taken by Rooney. Then five minutes before the game ended United scored the equaliser through Hernandez. Rooney initial shot was parried by Chech. The loose ball collected by Giggs who floated perfect cross that headed by Hernandez.

3-3. Good result. Though two points were dropped it would be the catalyst for United to defend the title.

Glory glory United
