Manchester United Battle Barcelona for Signature of £4.5m Striker
8 November 2011

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is preparing to make a move for highly-rated Real Betis striker Alejandro Pozuelo, according to reports in The Sun.

Dimitar Berbatov looks like he is increasingly likely to leave Old Trafford either in January or in the summer on a free transfer.

Ferguson will be on the look out for another striker to replace Berbatov and having brought in  number of young players during the course of the summer including Ashley young, Phil Jones and David de Gea.

It looks as though the Manchester United boss is going to carry on with his policy of buying youth, and is keen to gain the signature of 20-year-old, Pozuelo, who is rated at £4.5million by Betis.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Villarreal are also reportedly keeping tabs on Pozuelo, but it is felt Manchester United are leading the chase.
