It was a great game nevertheless. End to end game that made your heart pounding for a excitement. It was men in Blue controlling the game and making all the shots. As cruel game it is United came on top.
Chelski was a good team but United is much better by taking most of the chances
they have. United scored first from a header Smalling resulting from Young free
kick. Though it was a suspicion of offside the Red Devils got the benefit of
doubt from the referee. Smalling had a free header where Terry was busy marking
another United's player. But still had the game on their hand pressing
United line deep into their half.. The pressure had caught United's duo in
midfield, Fletcher and Anderson, making many mistakes. Both of players had been
nice to the opponents by making passes that almost conceded a goal. Anderson
especially had passed the ball nicely to Torress but fortunately the Spaniard
failed to convert. Then out off the blue a great diagonal pass from Evans
reach Nani. With eased he passed through Juan Mata who attempts to stop Nani
could consider not serious. Then as he produced a thunderbolt to score United's
second. Still Chelski pressed on but it was United who score. Again a bustling
run from Jones who played as center half had made the Chelski defends scattered. Combined
well with Nani he burst towards Chelski, then the ball ricochet of Nani and squared
to Rooney who had easy task to score. 3-0.
30 seconds after half time Torres scored.
United was asleep and too static when the Spaniard scored. Anelka made an
assist as he send a beautiful pass the release Torres behind United defend
lines. Still a lot to do Torres made it look so easy as he chipped passed De
Gea. But then he squandered a glaring chance to keep his team in the game.
After rounding De Gea with the goal at his mercy he put the ball wide. Though
Rooney repeated Terry act for miss penalty in Moscow, Torres miss is more remembered.
