As reported by both Marca and AS in Spain and Sky Sport Italia, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has resolved the impasse between Inter and Jose Mourinho over the fee to rescind the Special One's contract.

Talks appeared to have reached a halt when Inter president Massimo Moratti insisted that the Portuguese coach pay the €16 million required to liberate him from the Italian club. However, according to reports, Perez was able to negotiate an €8 million fee that effectively will allow Mou to sign for Madrid for the next four seasons.

The Special One is scheduled to be presented as the new Blanco coach this Monday at 13:00 CET at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

LHDN kutip RM86 billion pada tahun 2009

ARKIB : 24/12/2009

LHDN yakin kutip RM86b

KUALA LUMPUR 23 Dis.

Petrol prices could rise initial 15 sen per litre

May 27, 2010

KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — The government could hike petrol prices by an initial 15 sen per litre from their current price at some stage this year under plans presented by a body advising the government on how to cut subsidies.

The benchmark RON 95 grade currently costs RM1.80 per litre.

The proposals were made in a public presentation today to win over voters to accepting higher prices as the government seeks to reduce the country’s budget deficit which stood at a 20-year high of 7 per cent of gross domestic product in 2009.

Under the proposals presented by the advisory body, the price of petrol would be hiked some time this year followed by two price hikes totalling 20 sen per litre in 2011 and two more of 20 sen per litre in 2012.

In 2013-2015, the price hikes would slow and by the end of 2015, the price of RON95 would stand at RM2.60 per litre, according to the plans that have yet to be approved by the government.

The forecasts were based on a crude oil price forecast of US$73.06 (RM233.80) per barrel for 2011 and $79.41-$94.52 for 2013-2015. — Reuters

Malaysian government mulls phased subsidy cuts
Reuters - Tuesday, May 25

KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 - Malaysia's government is to discuss plans to cut its subsidy bill at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, with cuts likely to be phased in over a period of five years, three government officials told Reuters.

The aim is to reduce Malaysia's bill from food, petrol, electricity and gas subsidies that official figures show had cost 24.5 billion Malaysian ringgit in 2009, or 15.3 percent of total federal government spending.

The government thinktank charged with designing the subsidy cuts has put the total cost of subsidies at 74 billion ringgit annually, although that includes social welfare, health and education transfers, according to adverts placed in newspapers.

The proposals presented by the thinktank had envisaged subsidy cuts starting in June, with price rises coming every six months over a five year timeframe, the sources said.

"The feeling here is that the June 1 timeframe may be too soon. It has to be done moderately and in stages," said a government source who has seen the proposals.

The sources declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the issue.

The effect of price rises is likely to be offset by support payments for poorer people, the sources said.

"One issue of concern is whether to cut all in one go, or sector by sector, and the timeline," said a second government official. (Reporting by Niluksi Koswanage and Razak Ahmad; Writing by David Chance; Editing by Neil Fullick)

Piala Dunia Datang Lagi

Sekejap saja empat tahun berlalu.

Kawan aku kata original bukan local hehehehe. So ori la kut.

kena blah dulu nanti sambung

United Roundup

BPL

United was dethroned by Chelski.

SHAKE UP

Among players said to leave Old Trafford - Ben Foster, Dimitar, Berbatov, Micheal Carrick and Micheal Owen. Uncertain future for Anderson and Nemanja Vidic. It would be sad to see players like Berbatov and Carrick leave. They are great players that had contributed to United success. Ferguson seemed had lost faith in Carrick. His appearance had limited to cameo. His precise long ball and penetration pass can hardly see. As his role in midfield became deeper, his over lap run through midfield towards 18 yards now easily forgotten. Darren Flecther had become very important first team squad thus pushing Carrick to the bench as Ferguson still had high expection to his most loyal servant, Paul Scholes. Carrick might head back to Tottenham.

Berbatov is also a great player but failed to meet the expectation. Ferguson still defending the player but he might had to sell the Bulgarian. United seemed to rely heavily on Rooney to deliver goals. After losing Ronaldo and Tevez, Berbatov had failed to do what the team and supporters hope so. United needed another prolific striker to partner Rooney. And after seeing Chelski score 103 goals in the league sure made Ferguson more determined to find another world class striker.

Nemanja Vidic desires to leave is world open secret. Reports said his wife had difficulty to settle down in England. So decision some of great players sometimes down to their wives. It’s better for him to leave as Johny Evans is already established himself as first team squad. After signing Smaling, Ferguson still need to buy another world class defender.

SNUB

Benzema again snubbed United. The French striker said wanted to prove himself at Madrid although admitted that he had not so happy first season at Spain. His lack of appearance at Madrid also cost him place to represent French.

Luka Modric and Gareth Bales also reported had turn down United offer. Ferguson is desperate to find players that could score from the midfield. Modric is very exceptional with Tottenham. It is very understandable when Redknapp wont sale him at any cost.

JOIN

Reports also said that Stephen Ireland and Micah Richards will change colour from Blue to Red. Ireland who been the revelation for City at the beginning of the season, lost his place at first eleven after the arrival of Roberto Mancini. Same to Richards who been seen as the next big thing in English football. Their failure to hold regular place in Mancini squads had left them with frustration. Ireland could be seen as the replacement for Scholes. While Richards could take Gary Neville place. As he also could play the central defend Richards is very ideal to Ferguson squad.

So just wait for the transfers. The club will also wait for the world cup as it was the best place for the players to show their talents for their future employer.

Hails the new champ of England

Chelski Dethroned United

Chelski thrashed Wigan 8-0 at Stamford Bridge to take away BPL trophy from United. Chelski who held slim lead of one point but with huge goal different need to win to avoid catastrophic at the last game of the season. Meanwhile United was praying for miracle on the side as all already knew that the trophy was heading for Stamford Bridge. It was very unlikely that Wigan would pull another upset against The Blues.

Instead Chelski run riot against hepless 10 men Wigan. They scored eight goals which gave their goals tally to 103 at the end season. A feat that never been achieved by any team before. United while scored four against Stoke City, saw their celebrations compounded just for another game victory. The sombre mood was along side when their heroes scored. As the players the mood was the same.

However congratulation to Chelski. For United there would be next season for revenge.

Rooney Wins FWA Footballer of TheYear

Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney was the overwhelming winner of England's Football Writers Association Player of the Year, earning over 80% of the vote to gain his first FWA award.

Rooney finished well ahead of Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Manchester City's Carlos Tévez.

FWA chairman Steve Bates offered the following, in a statement released on the association's web site:

"Wayne is a worthy winner of our prestigous award and the margin of his victory is testimony to the marvelous season he has had for club and country.

His tally of 34 goals so far this season is certain to have captured the attention of our members but I am sure the overall improvement in his game at Manchester United has been of equal significance.

Wayne's enthusiasm, hunger and desire mark him out as a special player and we hope he can carry his club form onto the international stage in the World Cup this summer and help England achieve their dream."

United Keep The Pressure On

Chelski is now the clear favourite to lift the premier league trophy this season after beating Liverpool at Anfield 2-0. With one game left it is very unlikely Ancelotti's men will loose at Stamford Bridge against Wigan next Sunday. Premier league trophy should be in Chelski grip firmly now. Alex Ferguson knew that but in football anything could happen. Like Gerrard gift for Chelski first goal. Of all people it was Gerrard.

But that is football. United still walking tall. Still the best in England although without premier league trophy. Much kudos to Chelski. They also deserved it after the most intense season so far.

So let wait for the next week for Chelski to crown as official Champion of England.
